Lars Kraakman worked on a complex topic, analyzing folding facade structures and their  potential for energy performance optimization if applied on schools in Netherlands.  he used Rhinoceros/Grasshopper to set up the simulation environment. I enjoyed supervising him on his way to work on this challenge.

His thesis can be found in the MSc repository of Lund University, Master Programme of Energy and Building Design (www.ebd.lth.se): Kraakman, L. (2016). Effects of facade surface geometry – Energy and indoor quality evaluation of West and East facing façade geometries in Dutch school
buildings. MSc thesis, Lund University.
